The Lakewood Early Childhood PTA (LECPTA) is a
group designed by and for parents and guardians of children
from birth to age six. This nonprofit group of about 400
members offers guidance, friendship and reassurance.
Membership is open to
anyone with an interest in preschool children, including
expecting parents. LECPTA benefits for

informative and entertaining guest speakers who address issues
and
concerns about parenting and younger children,

informed about activities, news and events,

from birth to age three, and more...
-- Lakewood Early Childhood PTA also helps provide vision
screening to detect amblyopia in all Lakewood preschools, and

Youth Services in Lakewood...
The Lakewood Division of
Youth Services coordinates
innovative programs for school-aged kids through various
activities including Teen Connections,
Lakewood Youth Congress and H2O (Help-to-Others) youth
volunteer activities. Also assists and supports parents
and family members through mediation and
counseling services for residents.
Youth Services also develops
intergenerational projects to benefit younger and older people living in our community.
